A rare and original 1920’s belted long dress featuring a low draped neckline. thick patterned straps. and an open back. This dress is heavily pattered around the bottom with metallic geometric designs inspired by the Art Deco Movement.
This fabric was crafted in Cairo during the 1920s. Known as Tulle-bi-telli it is a hand-woven textile that originated in Upper Egypt during the 19th Century. This exquisite shimmery fabric is meticulously constructed. by intertwining cotton or linen threads with silver metal wires. resulting in stunning geometric patterns.
